It was a rainy Saturday morning in Limerick and I dragged my\nbrother-in-law and my niece out to the Stone Circle at Grange so they could\nexperience a little history on their visit to Ireland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This Stone Circle dates from around 2,000 BC and on a soft\nrainy day like this we had the place to ourselves and a chance to feel the\nwonderful sense of history that such a special place brings to your soul. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Its builders likely didn\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u201e\u00a2t have wheels and yet moved large\nboulders great distances. They had limited celestial knowledge (or did they)\nand yet they perfectly aligned the entrance to the circle so that at daybreak\non the summer solstice in June, the early morning  rays would beam through\nthe entrance and directly hit the center point of the circle. They didn\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u201e\u00a2t have\ndrones or satellite views and yet the entrance to this circle and two others in\nnearby fields formed a perfect isosceles triangle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For many years, this little spot has been my personal haven\n\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00c2\u00a6 a means to ground myself away from life\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u201e\u00a2s chaos and restore some sense of\nreality on the relevance of issues that I get to face on a daily basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
