\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00c2\u00a6 it was never going to be a pretty sunrise. The thick cloud\nlay too close to the horizon and the morning had more of a grey than blue tinge\nto the sky. Patches of fog hugged parts of the trail and the shoreline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I decided the only real chance at a decent shot was to get\nin close to the water and try to catch the sun as it broke the horizon before\nit got swallowed up in the clouds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I noticed a lone female jogger run past me and disappear\ninto the dimness and the grey fog and I thought \u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00c5\u201chow stupid! Doesn\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u201e\u00a2t she\nrealize how vulnerable she is alone in the gloom of an altogether shady section\nof town?\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00c2\u009d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So I leaned down to the water\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u201e\u00a2s edge, holding the camera\nless than an inch above the water surface. My knuckles were getting wet from\nthe gently lapping water. The continued heavy growls of a large alligator a few\nfeet away from me weren\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u201e\u00a2t enough to change my pose. No, I was intent on getting\nthe right perspective before I missed the sun entirely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I kneeled there for a good two or three minutes and when I\ngot up , wet knees dripping sandy water back into the lake, a few more growls\nclose by made me snap out of my own stupidity and realize how quickly I judged\nthe jogger while recklessly committing much more of an idiocy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Isn\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u201e\u00a2t it strange how quick we are to judge those around us,\ninstance to instance on a daily basis, yet convinced in ourselves that we walk\non water? My wet knees and dampened ego are testament to the fact that I, for\none, don\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u201e\u00a2t!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
