Exploring Darkness

When you have learned your trade in daylight, night-time for photographers generally signifies a return to basics. You have to relearn camera settings that generate the right capturing environment for shooting something in the dark

2021 will see me continue to delve into this world, exploring shutter-speeds and apertures that provide me with an insight into the night world.

Given that I am essentially a morning person, this presents me personally with many challenges but that's ok. It's the challenges we face that make this journey of life all the more interesting!

This is a reflection in the Hillsborough River of the Tampa skyline, taken from the University of Tampa river-edge.

It is going to take some efforts to turn me into a night-owl but images like this hold my reward. There will be plenty of time to sleep, when I am dead.
